So, a great book for Minecraft fans of all ages and skill levels.Whether books line every wall of your house or barely fill one shelf, Bookpedia is the perfect application to help you keep track of them. The book is of great quality with thick colourful pages (311 in total) with a nice hard cover to keep it protected. Utility (beds, crafting table, cauldron etc) Player Created (wood planks, bricks, TNT etc) Nether and End (blocks with magical properties as I understand it) Not only does it tell you about all the naturally occurring blocks in the game from dirt to precious metals, but it also tells you about the things you can craft, such as the crafting table. It tells you what each block type does and its properties in just the right amount of information. He loves the fact that this book is hexagonal in shape (a 2D representation of a 3D block) and the information within is pitched at a level that a child won’t be bogged down by tedious amounts of words. However, my son tells me that so far, he has been able to identify all the blocks he has seen in the game as being in this book. Though bear in mind this book was published in 2014, 5 years ago, and I am not sure what new blocks have been introduced into the game since the publication of this book. It is a book for beginners and more advanced players alike, telling you about every block you’ll come across in the game. I purchased this book for my 13-year-old son who has only recently got into Minecraft, and he loves it. More, rather, that I have got my fair share of uses from this thing, though I doubt the hexagonal shape helps ensure its durability.I must admit that, I purchased this for £10 and probably wouldn't buy it at it's retail price of £20 and would wait for it to go down in price.I absolutely love the style of this book though and the information it displays about each particular block.Definitely worth it for any Minecraft Player. The contents layout the different types of blocks, such as: Naturally Generated, Mechanisms & Ores And Minerals, do bare in mind though, that due to the release date, this won't include any blocks added to the game after 1.8.1 (which is the name of an update if you're buying this for someone else or don't yet know much about Minecraft.)The first page - though it has no content - and the spine of the book have recieved some ware and tear, but that's not to say this isn't a sturdy book. As a Minecraft Fan, I was pleased at the content within this in-depth guide. I picked this up at the excitement of yet another Official Minecraft Book, and it certainly satisfied my excitement.
